What is a sandbox environment?

The thing that lets you change an automation confidently. Without one, every adjustment is made on the live system with real customers attached, so changes get avoided, which is how a system quietly stops matching the business. The important property is not that it exists but that it is realistic: a sandbox with three fake records will not surface the problems that appear at real volume with real messy data.
