Why these two

Law 25 governs the personal information every automated system touches: intake forms, chat and voice transcripts, CRM records, behavioural data behind a retargeting audience. Bill 96 governs the language those systems have to work in. Between them they decide how a customer-facing build has to be architected in Québec, and both are far cheaper to design in than to retrofit.

About these guides

Are these gated?
No. No form, no email, no download wall. If a guide is useful it should be readable, and gating it only means fewer of the right people ever see it.
Do the French and English versions say the same thing?
They cover the same ground, but neither is a translation of the other. Each is written for its own reader, and the French guides are written natively because the audience for the Law 25 and Bill 96 material is largely francophone.
Is any of this legal advice?
No, and each guide says so. These are plain-language summaries for owners and managers, written to make the first conversation with your lawyer shorter and better informed. For a specific situation, consult counsel and the official texts.
How often are they updated?
In place, whenever the law or our reading of it changes. Guides are never reposted as new articles, so the URL stays stable and the last-updated date at the top is the honest one.
